A Very “Plugged-In” Solar Kit

Sunflower Solar is launching its ready-to-use balcony solar kit in France, Italy, and soon in Belgium — designed for individuals looking to offset their baseline electricity consumption.

While Plug & Play solar kits are booming in Germany with 350,000 units sold in 2023, they remain relatively rare on French balconies — largely due to misinformation around what’s legally allowed versus what’s just a recommendation.

In reality, no one can truly prevent you from installing solar panels on a balcony in France — as long as you respect a few simple rules:

• Stay within the 3 kW limit set by Consuel

• Follow urban planning laws for protected zones

• Respect your co-ownership agreement and maintain courtesy as a tenant

A Solar Kit Designed for Standard Balconies

Weighing just a little over 10 kg, the kit includes:

• Two monocrystalline panels (1170 x 1040 x 10 mm)

• Each panel delivers 220 Wp, with 182 high-efficiency cells (22.70%)

• Mounted on a rigid aluminum frame

• Connected to a compact 400 W microinverter (25 mm thick, 1.5 kg)

• Equipped with 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, the inverter connects to a mobile app for real-time monitoring — and will soon integrate with Linky smart meters

Universal Mounting & Modular Design

The mounting system is fully modular and designed to fit all types of standard metal railings.

• Adaptable to various shapes and balcony dimensions

Optional accessories like the SunGuide help determine the perfect tilt angle using a sunlight projection — just like a solar sundial — to adjust for seasonal variations.
